Job Title: Business Development Manager / Sales Manager
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne - City Centre
Salary: £24,000 pa Basic (+ Commission + Laptop + Expenses)
Additional Salary: Uncapped Commission (realistic 1st year OTE £40,000)
Working Hours 40 hrs per week, 9.30am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday

Specialising in on-line marketing services Mercantile Equity, cover a wide range of financial products including Mortgages, Insurance and Loans.

Due to the business's continued expansion and the development of new and innovative products we currently require an office based Sales Manager responsible for the whole of the UK & Northern Ireland. Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director the successful candidate's primary objectives will be to lead the sales team to ensure agreed new and existing business sales targets are achieved.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Experienced salesperson within the Financial Services Industry, with demonstrable track record of delivering sales growth over time
  • Educated to at least A level standard or holding relevant mortgage qualifications you will have extensive mortgage experience
  • Proven relationship management skills in order to deliver agreed new and existing business sales targets
  • Ability to apply knowledge of the lead and appointment generation marketplace to ensure product and service proposition is relevant to Mortgage Advisors & IFA's to ensure maximum commercial advantage to the business
  • Lead the development and management of relationships with designated BDM's, Mortgage Advisors & IFA's and manage high-level relationships personally
  • Ability to create a team climate conducive to high individual and collective performance
  • Help to manage the delivery of excellent customer service by the account management team
  • Good knowledge of competitor activity in the lead and appointment generation marketplace
